$450,000 for Pierro Colt

The 2016 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale started in good style for Golden Slipper winner Pierro with seven of his stock averaging $255,714 on Tuesday. Best result for Pierro came with the Segenhoe Thoroughbreds consigned colt from Group II winning Encosta de Lago mare Rocha that made $450,000 to the bid of Domeland Pty Ltd. The colt was a successful pinhook for Segenhoe, who bought him as a weanling last year for $300,000. His dam Rocha is now back in foal to Pierro. Other good results for Pierro included fillies from That’s How I Roll and Turnstiles that made $340,000 and $310,000 respectively.
