The progeny of Golden Slipper winner and leading first crop sire Pierro were in keen demand at the 2017 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
With 18 yearlings averaging $230,556, Pierro was the most successful sire whose oldest progeny are two year-olds and his best result came with the stunning full brother to his outstanding filly Tulip.
A dominant winner of the Group III ATC Magic Night Stakes, third in the Group I ATC Golden Slipper and fourth in the Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes, Tulip is among the best juvenile fillies this season.
Coolmore consigned her full brother (pictured), a lovely colt from Musidora that made $500,000 when knocked down to Lindsay Park Racing.
He will join the stable of David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig, who have trained Tulip with so much success.
Other big sales for Pierro included colts from Gypsy Chimes, .Bellevue Girl and Belle Couture that sold for $475,000, $400,000 and $400,000 respectively.
