$600,000 for Fastnet Rock Colt
Champion sire Fastnet Rock only had two entries for the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale and both sold on Thursday with colts from Oregon’s Day and Moqueen selling for $600,000 and $250,000 respectively.
Bred by Aquis and offered by Segenhoe Stud as agent, the colt from Oregon’s Day was popular with buyers and eventually secured by Rosemont Stud/ Bahen Bloodstock, who were in the market for elite colts at this sale and hit the target with this fellow.
He is the first foal of Group II winner Oregon’s Day, a half-sister to Group II winner Talent Show and stakes-winner Oregon Spirit.
Fastnet Rock has sired 22 stakes-winners worldwide since August 1 stands at $165,000 this spring.
