650,000gns Foal Continues Camelot’s Memorable Year
Camelot enjoyed another major sales result on Friday when Godolphin went to 650,000gns for a colt from West Blagdon Stud at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale.
It was a perfect start for Accolade’s broodmare career, as the Camelot colt is the first foal out of James Wigan’s homebred granddaughter of Galileo. The January-born bay shares his page with Auguste Rodin, Halfway To Heaven, Magical, Rhododendron and Photo Call.
Anthony Stroud conducted the bidding on behalf of Godolphin and said of their purchase: “He is by a very good sire in Camelot, who has had a very good year. West Blagdon always produces very good foals, he is a lovely individual, and he will add to our crop of homebred foals.”
Camelot ended the sale with a 100% clearance rate and an impressive average price of 290,000gns.
