$700,000 for Fastnet Rock Filly
A full sister to this season’s brilliant unbeaten two year-old filly Catchy was the star performer for champion sire Fastnet Rock at the 2017 Magic Millions Yearling Sale on Friday when selling for $700,000 to an outstanding judge of yearlings.
Consigned for sale by Coolmore, the athletic bay filly from Group II winning Fusaichi Pegasus mare Cats Whisker was bought by prominent Sydney owner Alan Bell.
“I thought she had a terrific temperament and would be very trainable,” Bell told Sky Racing.
“Her dam has already thrown a smart one and this filly had the sort of scope and quality that I like.”
Alan Bell has enjoyed much success as a yearling purchaser with a long record of Group I winners to his credit such as Grand Armee, Schillaci and Primacy as well as more current stars including Deep Field and Star Turn.
