$800,000 for Fastnet Rock Colt
Champion sire Fastnet Rock featured during the second session of the 2016 Magic Millions Yearling Sale when his colt from terrific producer Gold Anthem sold for $800,000.
Consigned on behalf of his breeder Makybe by Milburn Creek, the half-brother to world champion sprinter and Group I producing sire Starspangledbanner was secured by US based Spendthrift Farm.
He is also a three-quarter brother-in-blood to Fastnet Rock’s Group I winning daughter Amicus.
Other good results for Fastnet Rock on Thursday were fillies from imported American mares Mani Bhavan and Gypsy Chimes that fetched $450,000 and $400,000.
