Another black-type win for Fastnet with Tres Rock Glory
The unstoppable Fastnet Rock had a second European stakes winner in 24 hours when Freddie Head sent out Tres Rock Glory (3f Fastnet Rock-Tres Ravi, by Monsun) to win the Listed Coupe Des Trois Ans at Lyon Parilly on Thursday.
Bred by Haras Chevotel and owned Chevotel Racing, the lightly-raced filly saw off favourite Doha Dream to land the prize by half a length under Aurélien Lemaitre.
“We had concerns about the ground, which had softened, but it seems she goes on any going,” Lemaitre told JDG. “She was brave to win by the minimum needed. She is a good, tough filly.”
Tres Rock Glory was winning a day after Somehow (3f Fastnet Rock-Alexandrova, by Sadler’s Wells) took the Listed Cheshire Oaks at Chester for Fastnet Rock.
