Another Fastnet Flyer for Smerdon
Opening her career with a stylish debut win at Cranbourne on Saturday evening was promising filly Bryony (3f Fastnet Rock x Myrrh, by Nassipour).
A short priced favourite for the 1300 metre maiden, she raced on the pace and fought on well to win by a long neck for the Robert Smerdon stable.
Bryony was a $700,000 Inglis Australian Easter purchase for David Redvers from the Coolmore draft and is a three-quarter sister to Group I winner and $2.2 million earner Triple Honour.
Raced by Qatar Bloodstock, she is the seventh winner from Nassipour mare Myrrh, whose current yearling, a colt by Fastnet Rock, will be offered at the 2015 NZB Premier Yearling Sale by Curraghmore Stud.
Myrrh produced another colt by Fastnet Rock this spring.
