Saucey Horsey (So You Think) winning at Kilmore

Another Promising Winner for So You Think

So You Think is having a benchmark season being the first stallion to crack $16million in progeny earnings and among those winners is a promising filly Saucey Horsey (3f So You Think x Zara Bay, by Fastnet Rock), who scored easily at Kilmore on Thursday.

Trained by Ciaron Maher and Dave Eustace for her breeders Chris and Jane Barham, three year-old filly Sauce Horsey notched her third win from five starts when scoring an easy victory in the 1600m Class 2.

Tried in stakes company at her previous run in Adelaide when unplaced behind Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Saucey Horsey pulled up lame on that occasion, but bounced back to her best with this performance.

Foaled and raised at Segenhoe, Saucey Horsey is the first foal of stakes-placed Fastnet Rock mare Zara Bay, who was also bred by the Barham’s and is a full sister to Group I winner Merchant Navy, Group II winner Jolie Bay and stakes-winner Setanta.

The next two foals from Zara Bay, have both been sold as yearlings for $500,000 and $420,000 respectively, so Black Type for Saucey Horse would be the icing on the cake for a broodmare that has made a great commercial start to her stud career.
