Another stakes for Fastnet’s Somehow

The Aidan O’Brien-trained Somehow (4f Fastnet Rock-Alexandrova, by Sadler’s Wells) added a third black-type victory to her record at Gowran Park on Sunday.

The daughter of Fastnet Rock, who won last year’s Cheshire Oaks heroine and came fourth in the G1 Oaks, captured the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes by a length and a quarter under Seamie Heffernan.

"She [Somehow] was placed in a Classic so it's no surprise that she won,” said Heffernan. “She was a little bit unlucky on her last run and this will bring her on.”
