Fast Tracker (Churchill) winning at Saint-Cloud

Churchill Colt Justifies Classic Entries With Impressive Win

The well-regarded Fast Tracker (3c Churchill – Emma Knows, by Anabaa) justified his Classic entries when storming clear at Saint-Cloud on Thursday.

Henri-Alex Pantall’s charge came from last to first to win a maiden in good style last time out and was sent off favourite when stepping up to ten furlongs in Thursday’s Class 2 conditions contest. Tony Piconne adopted more prominent tactics aboard the Churchill colt and began to quicken as they approached the turn for home. Leading into the straight, he drew clear under hands and heels to score by six and a half lengths, eased down.

A step up in class may now be on the cards for Fast Tracker, who holds entries in the French 2,000 Guineas and Prix du Jockey Club. Owned by Guy Heald, the son of Churchill is out of a half-sister to Group performer King Of Camelot (Camelot).
