Churchill Juvenile Makes All To Maiden Victory

Dear Cat (2f Churchill – Elfend, by Invincible Spirit) built on two promising efforts to justify favouritism in the seven furlong fillies’ maiden at Salisbury on Thursday.

The Warren Greatrex-trained filly finished a promising fifth on debut at Goodwood and went on to be narrowly denied at Newbury next time, with both runs coming over six furlongs. Reunited with Eddy Greatrex on Thursday, she broke smartly and made all of the running. Quickening clear inside the final furlong, she led by two and a half lengths on the line.

Owned by Jim And Claire Limited, the daughter of Churchill was bred by Al Shira’aa Farms.
