Blue Rose Cen (Churchill) Wins The Group 3 Prix D’ Aumale at ParisLongchamp

Exciting 2YO Stakes-Winner for Churchill

Promising young Galileo son Churchill is back in Australia this spring and featured with a new stakes-winner in France on Thursday when Blue Rose Cen (2f Churchill x Queen Blossom, by Jeremy) took out the Group III Prix d’Aumale (1600m) at Longchamp.

A talented two year-old filly prepared by Christopher Head, she strode clear to win by a length and a half taking her overall record to three wins and a second from five starts.

“She is so tough and genuine and has never let us down,” said Christopher Head.

“She was beaten by a good horse (Victoria Road (2c Saxon Warrior)) last time and was facing only fillies this time, so we were hopeful.

“Aurelien [Lemaitre] gave her the perfect ride, she handled the softer ground very well and she now deserves to take her chance in the [G1 Prix] Marcel Boussac. She takes her racing so well that I have no doubt that she will be ready on the day.”

A homebred for Yeguada Centurion SLU, Blue Rose Cen is the first foal from dual Group III winner Queen Blossom and becomes the seventh stakes-winner for Churchill.

In Australia, Churchill has a number of smart winners including Conqueror, who is an acceptor for the Group III ATC Ming Dynasty Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.

Churchill stands at a fee of $22,000.
