Fastnet Rock Filly Wins Clockwise Classic
Already a stakes-winner this spring, talented filly Anatina (3f Fastnet Rock x Quack, by Magic Ring) picked up another lucrative prize when taking out the $100,000 Magic Millions 3YO Clockwise Classic at Ballarat on Sunday.
The Robert Smerdon trained filly made light of the heavy conditions to take the 1100 metre dash by nearly two lengths, her overall record now three wins and two seconds from seven starts with prizemoney topping $184,000.
An expensive $460,000 Magic Millions purchase from the draft of Rosari Farm for Bahen Bloodstock and Malua Racing, Anatina runs for Lakeview Resources and Phil Sly.
Anatina is a half-sister to stakes-winner Pricked from the good producer Quack, a daughter of former brilliant filly Mother Duck.
Quack produced a colt foal by Encosta de Lago this spring.
Fastnet Rock has big representation at the 2014 Magic Millions Yearling Sale with 37 entries.
