Fastnet Rock Leading Sire at Inglis Premier
Champion sire Fastnet Rock ended a record breaking 2015 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne as the leading sire by average in Book One.
He had 12 yearlings average $187,083 and at the top of the list was a gorgeous filly from US Group III winner Heart Ashley (USA) that fetched $330,000 for Kia Ora Stud to the bid of McEvoy Mitchell Racing.
Her year older full sister made $400,000 at Inglis Easter last year when bought by Spendthrift Farm and has been named Ameristralia, but is yet to trial for Team Hawkes and Heart Ashley has a colt foal to follow, also by Fastnet Rock.
Other good sales for Fastnet Rock included a three-quarter sister to stakes-winner Wales from Group III winner Valkyrie Diva that made $280,000 for Milburn Creek as agent for Makybe when bought by Laure Oak Bloodstock and a colt from Lady of Spain that made $275,000 for Erinvale Thoroughbreds when secured by Tan Sri Vincent Tan / Dato Robin Tan.
