G1 Fastnet Rock Filly to Race in US

Winner of the Group I VRC Oaks last spring, the Lindsay Park trained and Coolmore owned filly Personal (3f Fastnet Rock x Personify, by Galileo) will do her future racing in North America.

Coolmore Australia confirmed on Tuesday that Personal will leave Australia this week to be trained in New York by champion trainer Chad Brown.

"The Breeders' Cup would be the ultimate goal but, of course, she has to travel and show her form in lead-up races," Coolmore racing manager Rob Archibald told Racing.com.

"They think there is more racing in her and there is a very good opportunity in America for fillies and mares, and, given her form again this season, it is certainly worth a try.

"We have to thank the Hayes family and [Lindsay Park] stable for developing her into an incredible filly."

Personal was a $640,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Cressfield draft for Tom Magnier/ BBA Ireland and runs in the Coolmore navy blue for Coolmore and partners, that include Adrian Niccoll, who selected the filly.

She has the overall record of two wins and eight placings from 16 starts with earnings topping $1.2 million.

Bred and sold by Cressfield, Personal is a sibling to stakes-placed Trope, Selectify and Laser Flash being from stakes-winning Galileo mare Personify.

It's a prolific family with many branches so a great many Australian breeders will be watching the progress of Personal with great interest.
