G3 win for improving Fastnet Rock filly
The William Haggas-trained One Master (4f Fastnet Rock-Enticing, by Pivotal) made the long journey to Tipperary pay off when winning the G3 Coolmore Stud Fairy Bridge Stakes on Thursday evening.
The progressive Fastnet Rock filly had travelled over from Haggas’s Newmarket base for the extended seven-furlong contest, scoring cosily under Colm O’Donoghue.
"Mr Haggas was confident of a very good run from her," said O’Donoghue. "I spoke to James Doyle and Ryan Moore about her and they were both very complimentary. They said to just ride her cold and that she would finish off the race well. Ground and trip weren't a problem for her and she hit the line strong."
Haggas’s travelling head groom Chris Durham added: "She had been training very well and the boss was very happy with her. She was suited by seven furlongs and the ground being on the easy side suited her better. So, hopefully, it's onwards and upwards with her."
One Master races for her breeder, Roy and Gretchen Jackson’s Lael Stables.
