Impressive Winner for Vancouver

Talented colt Postcode (2c Vancouver x Never Forget, by Westerner) opened his account with a dominant victory at Hawkesbury on Saturday.

Second on debut in the Group III ATC Breeders Plate at the start of last spring, Postcode had been competitive without placing in his two most recent runs in Golden Slipper lead up races won by top colts Mamaragan and Prague.

Dropped back in grade to maiden class for this 1300m assignment, the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained colt showed his class under 62kg to bolt away and win by three and a half lengths.

With that confidence boosting win under his belt, Postcode will no doubt be placed to advantage in longer Black Type races in the future.

A $240,000 Magic Millions purchase for his trainers from the Glenlogan Park draft, Postcode is the second winner from French Group II winner Never Forget.
