Magna Grecia Foals Impress at Tattersalls December
The Tattersalls December Foal Sale produced strong results for Invincible Spirit’s dual Group I winning son Magna Grecia, who made his mark with 14 foals selling for 61,847 guineas and three that sold for 100,000 guineas or more.
His best result was a colt from stakes-winning Azamour mare Twitch that was bought by Jamie McCalmont Bloodstock for 210,000 guineas.
His top selling filly from winning Fastnet Rock mare She’s So Flawless sold for 110,000 guineas to Arthur Hoyeau as agent.
“This is a lovely, scopey filly, a good mover, with a good mix of the grandsire Invincible Spirit and damsire Fastnet Rock,” said Arthur Hoyeau.
The filly was consigned by Petches Farm with Simon Venner, son of owner Paul Venner, also complimentary of the attractive bay filly.
“The Magna Grecia filly has been stunning since day one, knockout, very straightforward. We got her into prep and she never put a foot wrong. Every time she came out of the box, she just marched around,” he said.
A half-brother to 2021 European Horse of the Year St Mark’s Basilica, Magna Grecia stands at a fee of $19,250 in Australia.
