Mastercraftsman Weanlings Impress

The first New Zealand bred weanlings by four-time Group I winner Mastercraftsman were in demand at the 2012 NZB National Weanling Sale at Karaka on Monday.

Mastercraftsman provided the second and third highest priced offerings during the first session, a colt from Dancers World fetching $70,000 for Brighthill Farm and a colt from Lovemedo making $65,000 for Curraghmore Stud.

The pair were purchased by J & I Bloodstock and Lime Country Thoroughbreds respectively.

The sale continues tomorrow with a further five youngsters by Mastercraftsman to be offered.
