One Foot In Heaven G3 win completes great week for Fastnet

One Foot In Heaven (4c Fastnet Rock-Pride, by Peintre Celebre) landed a G3 victory in France on Sunday to continue a great few days for Fastnet Rock, that also includes two other European stakes successes.

A son of the great mare Pride, One Foot In Heaven landed the G3 Prix d’Hedouville comfortably, having scored in Listed company on his previous run.

Trainer Alain de Royer Dupre told JDG: “One Foot In Heaven accelerated like a good horse and he resembles his mother, Pride. He’s also shown that he has her acceleration, which is a good sign. “We wanted to see how he got on in this race. His win the other day was on heavy ground and it was fast today and he looked to be even better. I was pretty amazed by his last few strides to win the race.” One Foot In Heaven’s win followed hot on the heels of a victory for Tres Rock Glory (3f Fastnet Rock-Tres Ravi, by Monsun) in the Listed Coupe Des Trois Ans at Lyon Parilly on Thursday, a day after Somehow (3f Fastnet Rock-Alexandrova, by Sadler’s Wells) won the Listed Cheshire Oaks at Chester.
