Pride Of Dubai Colt Races Clear To Maiden Success

Flying Visit (2c Pride Of Dubai - Fionnuar, by Teofilo) continued an excellent run for the Jim Bolger stable when running out an impressive winner of Thursday’s mile maiden at Listowel.

Bred by Jim Bolger and carrying the colours of his wife Jackie, Flying Visit had finished third on three previous occasions and was subsequently sent off favourite under Kevin Manning. Taking the lead in the early stages, the bay was going well turning for home and was ridden to race clear in the straight, scoring by six lengths on the line.

Flying Visit becomes the third winner bred by Bolger out of Fionnuar, whom he also bred out of a full-sister to US champion two-year-old Chief’s Crown. He comes from the first Northern Hemisphere crop of Pride Of Dubai, who was crowned champion first season sire in Australia. His other European representatives include Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes winner Star Of Emaraaty.
