Promising Winner for Pierro
Scoring an impressive win at Belmont in Perth on Wednesday was promising prospect Regal Power (3g Pierro x Broadway Belle, by Redoute's Choice).
A homebred for Bob and Sandra Peters, Regal Power was a short priced favourite at his second start at Belmont and improved on his first outing which resulted in a green sixth placing at the same venue in June.
This time around the Grant and Alana Williams trained galloper cruised home from midfield to win the 1300 metre maiden by a length.
Regal Power is the third winner from stakes-winning Redoute’s Choice mare Broadway Belle, a full sister to the dam of another Group II WATC Derby winner in Arcadia Dream.
Broadway Belle has been a regular visitor to Coolmore and has a yearling colt by Vancouver and will foal to American Pharaoh this spring.
