Second Stakes Horse for Rubick

Promising young sire Rubick was represented by a talented type at Caulfield on Saturday with Biscara (2f Rubick x Liza, by Strategic) opening her career with a solid second in the Listed MRC Inglis Debutant Stakes.

Trained out of Lindsay Park by the Hayes / Dabernig partnership, she beat all bar her stablemate Champagne Boom finishing a gallant second in the 1000 metre scamper.

A $42,000 Inglis Classic purchase for JHB Syndications from the Southern Cross Breeders draft, Biscara is from Strategic mare Liza, who comes from the Stage Hit family of Black Type performers including Group I winner Pillaging.

Biscara is the second stakes horse for Rubick joining his Group III ATC Breeders Plate place-getter Krameric.

A brilliant son of the late champion sire Encosta de Lago, Rubick stands at a fee of $17,600
