Sensational Magic Sales for Saxon Warrior
Deep Impact’s dual Group I winning son Saxon Warrior was the leading first season sire by average at European yearling sales in 2021, so his performance at Magic Millions where his four yearlings averaged $265,000 should hardly come as a surprise.
Off a service fee of $24,750, his stock were hugely profitable for their breeders with the highlight his $400,000 colt from Gypsy Chimes (USA) sold on the first day by Coolmore to Busuttin Racing/ Group I Bloodstock.
Two more were very successful pinhooks with the colt from Wickedness (USA) selling for $260,000 to Magic Bloodstock and Associates after being bought as a weanling at MM National for $100,000 by James Bester Bloodstock, while the filly from Misty Rock sold by Newhaven Park for $210,000 was also a great result.
She was bought by Griffiths de Kock Racing/Peter Ford Thoroughbreds (FBAA)/Heywood Bloodstock and was originally sourced for just $30,000 from the Inglis Weanling Sale by Paul Willetts.
The other Saxon Warrior to sell in Book 1 was a lovely filly from Cat’s Wish that went to Tom Dabernig Racing for $190,000 so will have every chance in life.
