Son Of Camelot Digs Deep For Stakes Success

The Justin Snaith-trained Crown Towers (4g Camelot - Miss With Attitude, by Galileo) ran out a gutsy winner of Saturday’s feature race at Kenilworth, the Listed Selangor Jet Master Stakes.

Previously tried at Group 1 level, the Australian-bred bay was ridden prominently by Bernard Fayd’Herbe and gained the lead as they turned for home. Capoeira produced a serious challenge in the straight, but Crown Towers refused to lie down, digging deep to reverse previous form and won by a short head.

The lightly-raced four-year-old has won three of his 11 starts and is currently owned by N Jonsson and WJC Mitchell. Bred by L Bibbo, he hails from Camelot’s first Australian crop and sold for AUS$280,000 at the Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.
