Magna Grecia head shot

Son Of Magna Grecia Follows Up In Style

The game Mini Magna (2g Magna Grecia - Purple Glow, by Orientate) made all to record back-to-back wins at Bath on Wednesday.

Ed Dunlop’s charge rallied to win a maiden at the track earlier this month and was well-supported to follow up in the Novice Stakes over five furlongs. Partnered by Rose Dawes, the bay was pushed along approaching the final furlong and was ridden soon after. Keeping on well inside the final furlong, he beat the favourite comfortably by a length and a quarter.

Bred by Max Ervine, Mini Magna continues a promising start at stud by the beautifully-bred dual Group 1 winner Magna Grecia. The freshman sire’s first runners include Stakes scorer Myconian, smart debut winner Ms Brightside and three-time winner Indication Spirit.
