Son Of No Nay Never Justifies Support On Return

The promising Cynosure (3g No Nay Never – Llew Law, by Verglas) got off the mark on his three-year-old return at Lingfield on Monday.

The Andrew Balding-trained gelding was sent off favourite, having placed on his last two starts, including over course and distance. Racing in touch with the leaders, he ran on when ridden approaching the final furlong and switched right to lead inside the final 110 yards. He kept on to win by a length and a quarter under Kevin Stott, with another three lengths back to a previous winner in third.

Cynosure is owned by Ecurie Ama Zingteam and was bred by Newstead Breeding. The son of No Nay Never is a half-brother to multiple Group winner Who’s Steph (Zoffany) and Group 2 performer Long Arm (Rock Of Gibraltar). Their dam has a yearling colt from the first crop of St Mark’s Basilica.
