Stakes Potential for Fastnet Rock Filly
Talented filly Pride Rock (3f Fastnet Rock x Pride of Pine, by Lion Cavern) notched her second win when saluting at Flemington on New Year’s Day.
Prepared by Robbie Griffiths, she strode clear to win over 1200 metres by more than a length and has now won two of four starts.
“I’m sure she’ll get to stakes level, it’s only a question of when,” said Griffiths.
A $250,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Princeton Thoroughbred Stud from the Glastonbury Farms draft, Pride Rock was bred by Lisa Randle and is a sister to Group I SAJC Goodwood Handicap winner Lone Rock.
She is the third winner from Pride of Pine, who was covered again by Fastnet Rock last year.
