Stakes Potential for Sirileo Miss
Progressive mare Sirileo Miss (4m Pride of Dubai x She’s Sirius, by Galileo) resumed from a spell to win at Sandown on Wednesday and can make her presence felt in Black Type races during the spring.
Third in the Group III SAJC Auraria Stakes and fifth beaten a length in the Group I SAJC Australasian Oaks, the Simon Wilde trained daughter of Pride of Dubai looks set for a good spring campaign after charging home to win the Benchmark 70 event for mares over 1300m by more than a length.
A $60,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Miranda Park draft for her trainer, Sirileo Miss has three wins and three placings from seven starts with prizemoney in excess of $185,000.
Bred by Gary O’Meara, she is a half-sister to stakes-placed Sophia’s Choice and is one of seven winners from seven to race from good producer She’s Sirius, a half-sister by Galileo to stakes-winner Spectrolite.
She’s Sirius produced a colt last spring by Merchant Navy and is booked to visit exciting Coolmore newcomer King’s Legacy.
