Vancouver Yearlings Popular at Magic Millions
After three sessions of the 2019 Magic Millions Yearling Sale Book One, Golden Slipper winner Vancouver has moved to the top of the first season sire averages for sires with three or more yearlings sold.
With his sire Medaglia D’Oro riding high at this sale with a million dollar yearling, Vancouver has shown his class with 26 yearlings averaging $189,423 and an equal benchmark of $400,000 paid for a colt from stakes-winning Fastnet Rock mare Harlem River and a filly from Angel Bee.
Consigned by Newgate Farm, the colt from Harlem River was knocked down to Edmonds Racing/Blue Sky Bloodstock and is the first foal of his dam.
Segenhoe Stud offered the filly from Group III place Pins mare Angel Bee that was snapped up by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.
Other good sales for Vancouver were colts from Irish Dream and Ygritte that made $350,000 and fillies from Sevruga and Graceful Anna that made $320,000.
