Winning Hat Trick for Pride of Dubai Filly
The powerful Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable enjoyed success at the Wagga Cup meeting on Friday with progressive filly Splendiferous (3f Pride of Dubai x Magical Mist, by High Chaparral) posting her third consecutive win in the $75,000 Wagga Queen of the South (1400m).
She travelled on the pace for Nash Rawiller and sped clear to win by more than two lengths taking her overall record to three wins from seven starts with prizemoney just shy of $100,000.
A $100,000 Magic Millions purchase for James Bester Bloodstock from the Aquis Farm draft, Splendiferous runs for a big syndicate of lady owners who are no doubt having a lot of fun with this filly who is clearly on an upswing!
Gai Waterhouse tweeted after the race that Splendiferous would be headed north to Queensland for the Brisbane Winter Carnival.
Splendiferous is a half-sister to Group III winner Ballistic Boy and is the third winner from Magical Mist, a metro winning half-sister to Group I winner Distill.
She looks a bright prospect for Pride of Dubai, who stands at fee of $22,000 this spring.
