Classy Arizona Colt Proves A Cut Above
Right And True (2c Arizona – Princess Theodora, by Quality Road) built on some promising performances to run out a commanding winner of Monday’s mile maiden at Listowel.
Aidan O’Brien’s charge was sent off joint-favourite following three placed efforts, including when third in a valuable sales race at the Irish Champions Festival. Racing prominently under Jack Cleary, the bay was ridden when leading approaching the final furlong and strode clear to score by three lengths and three quarters.
This race has produced some smart horses in the past, with revious winners including subsequent Irish Derby victor Santiago and Irish Derby third French Claim.
Owned by Coolmore partners, Right And True was bred by T Boylan and hails from the first crop of Arizona.
