Truly Enchanting (No Nay Never) Wins The Group 2 Airlie Stud Stakes

No Nay Never Filly Captures Curragh Group 2

Truly Enchanting (2f No Nay Never – Alluringly, by Fastnet Rock) justified a quick return to the track when justifying favouritism in Saturday’s Group 2 Airlie Stud Stakes at the Curragh.

A smart debut winner last month, the Aidan O’Brien-trained filly stepped up to six furlongs just ten days after running at Royal Ascot. Racing close to the pace under Ryan Moore, she was ridden to lead inside the final furlong and ran on well to score by half a length.

“Ryan gave her a great ride,” said the winning trainer. “She's tough and hardy and we're delighted with her.She was just a bit green and babyish in the Queen Mary. She might get seven furlongs this year but I wouldn't be surprised if she got quicker next year rather than staying further.”

The Coolmore homebred is a half-sister to fellow Group 2 winner Lily Pond (Galileo).
