$1.1 Million Colt for Fastnet Rock

Champion sire Fastnet Rock was in the limelight during the second session at the 2019 Magic Millions Yearling Sale on Thursday with a stunning colt from Ballet Suite fetching $1.1million.

Consigned by Coolmore, the star colt was bred by Emaroo Bloodstock and is the first foal of Ballet Suite, a stakes-winning daughter of High Chaparral that was also fourth in the Group I ATC Vinery Stud Stakes.

He was bought by Jon Kelly, Reg Inglis and Jamie McCalmont.

"We thought we'd have to pay quite a bit more for him," Reg Inglis said. "So we are absolutely delighted.

"He is by Fastnet Rock, a champion sire, from a great female line and we thought he was a lovely colt.

"He is very athletic and we thought he was the best colt in the sale.”

Ballet Suite has another filly foal to follow this top class colt and is back in foal again to Fastnet Rock, who has had eight yearlings sell in the first two sessions at an average $431,875.
