$120,000 Colt Leads Classic Empire Offerings During Fourth Session
The fourth session of Keeneland’s November Breeding Stock Sale saw Champion Classic Empire’s first crop register another six-figure weanling when Hip 1479 sold to Rexy Bloodstock for $120,000.
Consigned by Four Star Sales as agent for breeders Glen Sorgenstein and Rosecrest Farm, the bay colt is out of Uncle Mo daughter Hit the Limit, a granddaughter of Grade III placed Here I Go. Here I Go is also the dam of Grade I Kentucky Oaks winner Summerly and the granddam of six stakes horses.
A Champion 2-Year-Old, Classic Empire’s first crop has been warmly received, averaging $150,538 for 13 sold with nine selling for six figures.
