$170,000 Pride of Dubai Filly Tops MM Gold Coast March Yearling Sale
A filly by Australia's leading first season sire Pride of Dubai topped the 2020 Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale on Tuesday when selling for $170,000.
Presented as the second lot in the ring on Day Two of the sale, the chestnut filly from Fiery Dee was purchased by Grant Morgan's Ontrack Thoroughbreds and will soon be a stablemate of star three-year-old Alligator Blood.
A half-sister to four winners including Group I placed Looks Like the Cat, the Pride of Dubai sale topper was sold through the draft of River Junction.
"She's the best QTIS filly offered at any sale this year," Morgan said. "The sire Pride of Dubai is going outstanding and she's a great type.
"From all of the mare's foals this filly is the most like the Cat (Looks Like the Cat).
"I'm thrilled to be able to buy her. She will head to David Vandyke."
