Churchill X Dixiecick yearling colt selling for $180,000 at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale

$180,000 for Churchill Colt

Galileo’s champion son Churchill made a good impression at the 2021 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale with nine yearlings averaging $92,778.

His best result came on Tuesday when the Byerley Stud consigned colt from Dixie Chick made $180,000 to the bid of Star Thoroughbreds / Randwick Bloodstock Agency (FBAA).

A big flashy well marked brown colt bred by Bendaree Park Stud, he is the first foal of metro winning Star Witness mare Dixie Chick, who comes from an imported US black type family.

Dixie Chick was back at Coolmore again last spring to visit Vancouver.

Churchill also had good results with colts from Port Elizabeth and Storm Siren selling for $160,000 each to F Cook / John Foote Bloodstock and Kavanagh Racing and a filly from Lady Iveah making $150,000 to the bid of Lees Racing / Tasman Bloodstock.
