$185,000 So You Think Colt Tops MM Book 2

The final session of Magic Millions Book 2 concluded on Monday with So You Think providing the highest priced youngster with a colt from Marjoram (IRE) selling for $185,000.

Consigned by Goodwood Farm the handsome brown colt is the second foal of well related import Marjoram, a three-quarter sister by renowned juvenile sire Kodiac to stakes-winner Martlet and grand-daughter of Group I Irish Oaks winner Margarula from the family of Group I ATC Sydney Cup winner Grand Marshal.

"He's sleek, he walks over the ground and he's light on his feet," Moroney said.

"He has that head movement that just goes forward and takes everything with him.

"We thought he was one of the standouts over both books.

"He's one we sat and waited for most of the sale and we're just delighted that we got the opportunity to get him.

"We probably paid a little bit more than we thought, but there was strong competition."

Kerrie Tibbey of Goodwood Farm, who consigned the colt, was delighted with the result and she thought he might race earlier than what some of the breed usually do.

"It was an exceptionally good result," Tibbey said moments after the gavel fell.

"He's a lovely horse and I reckon he's a two-year-old." "He's got the mentality of a racehorse. He could be here next year."

Marjoram had a colt last spring by another of the Coolmore sires in St Mark’s Basilica.
