$300,000 for Fastnet Rock Colt
Champion sire Fastnet Rock ended the super successful 2015 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale as the leading sire by average when seven of his stock averaged $195,714.
His top seller came on Monday when a cracking colt (pictured)from South African Group III winner Sweet Sanette (USA) fetched $300,000 for Coolmore when secured by Magic Millions as agent.
He is the second foal of the mare, whose first foal, another colt by Fastnet Rock, sold for $525,000 earlier this year at Magic Millions and was bought by prominent Victorian owner / breeder Peter Devitt.
A daughter of leading South African sire Jallad, Sweet Sanette will foal again to Fastnet Rock this spring.
Wood Nook Farm sold the two top Fastnet Rock fillies at this sale with youngsters from Slapstick and Oh Goodness Me (GB) selling for $280,000 and $220,000.
