30th Winner For No Nay Never

Onthewaytonevrland (2g No Nay Never - L’Ensorceleuse, by Oasis Dream) became the 30th winner by champion first season sire No Nay Never when winning his maiden at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday.

Wesley Ward’s charge finished second on debut in April, that coming on the Keeneland dirt, and he went one better on switching to turf, racing over seven and a half furlongs. Sharp out of stalls, he has to relinquish his lead after the first quarter, but showed an admirable attitude to take over in the straight, running on to score by a length.

Owned and bred by Ice Wine Stables, Onthewaytonevrland is out of an unraced half-sister to three-time Group 1 winner Charm Spirit.
