$335,000 Colt Leads Classic Empire Offerings at OBS Spring
With a potential Kentucky Derby runner in his first crop, Classic Empire’s second crop was given plenty of attention at the OBS Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds In Training with Ed and Susie Orr picking up a colt for $335,000.
Breezing in :10.0 as part of the Harris Training Center consignment, he is out of the Grade III winning Misty Rosette, who is the dam of six winners from seven to race.
In addition to being a full sister to Grade II winner Storm Wolf, the mare is also a three-quarter sister to the dam of Triple Crown winner American Pharoah, Grade I winner Chasing Yesterday and the Grade I-placed American Cleopatra.
Classic Empire is the sire of 20 2022 winners with the group led by Grade III winner and Kentucky Derby hopeful Morello in addition to five other stakes performers.
