370,000gns Australia filly breaks duck brilliantly

Godolphin’s Beyond Reason (2f Australia-No Explaining, by Azamour) looked Royal Ascot material when winning in brilliant fashion at Kempton on Wednesday evening.

A 370,000gns yearling purchase from Tattersalls, the first-crop Australia filly powered clear in the home straight for trainer Charlie Appleby and, despite being eased down by William Buick, she still prevailed by four lengths.

The Racing Post commented: “BEYOND REASON got away well from the outside stall and was in front as they went into the turn. It was all very straightforward from there, as she quickened away in the straight to win eased down. She has a middle distance pedigree and it'll be interesting to see if she goes to the Chesham at Royal Ascot.”
