$400,000 Filly for Mendelssohn At Keeneland September
Lothenbach Stables took home a $400,000 Mendelssohn filly out of Jenda’s Agenda from Clarkland Farm’s consignment during Book 2 of the Keeneland September Sale this week.
Also bred by Clarkland Farm just like her Grade I-winning sire, the filly is out of the stakes winning Proud Citizen mare whose second foal is Justify’s Grade III Schuylerville winner Just Cindy. The family has found plenty of success with Ashford stallions with Jenda’s Agenda a half-sister to Munnings’ stakes winning Miss Alacrity.
The duo is out of multiple graded stakes winner Just Jenda, who is a half-sister to the dam of the stakes winning Tiz’Naz. This family also includes Uncle Mo’s champion juvenile Nyquist and Grade I winner Sahara Sky among others.
Mendelssohn has the most winners of any second crop sire this year at 70 with his two stakes winners leading 11 stakes performers in 2023.
