Pierro X Now Now yearling filly conformation shot

$400,000 Pierro Filly Shares Top Honours at Premier Finale

The highest priced filly sold during the final session of the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale on Tuesday was the half-sister by Pierro to multiple Group winning filly Fiesta.

Consigned by Blue Gum Farm, this quality filly from good producer Now Now made $400,000 when bought by Robert Hickmott Training Services.

Her half-sister Fiesta was one of the best of her generation claiming the Darley Princess Series in Sydney with a series of top performances before retiring with over $1.5million in prizemoney

The star filly was a pinhook for Trilogy Racing’s Jason and Mel Stenning and Sean and Cathy Dingwall, who will stay in the filly’s ownership.

“She’s a lovely filly. She looks a real staying type – even though Fiesta was a sharp mare - so she’ll be given all the time in the world to see what she can produce on the track,’’ Hickmott said.

“She’s got a lovely pedigree, great temperament, if you could see her walk, she’s a beautiful moving filly which you like to see in a staying filly.

“She’s got great residual value, I really loved her and it’s great to have a horse for Trilogy.’’
