$450,000 Fastnet Rock Colt Tops Inglis Weanlings

Strong trade at the Inglis Australian Select Weanling Sale on Sunday was highlighted by an outstanding colt by champion sire Fastnet Rock that sold for $450,000. Consigned for sale by Coolmore, the sale-topping colt was knocked down to Belmont Bloodstock and is the second foal of slick juvenile stakes-winner Delta Girl. He is the most expensive weanling sold in Sydney since 2008 and was bred by Sir Owen Glenn, who has been in the news of late as the breeder/owner of Group I ATC Australian Derby hero Criterion. Delta Girl was one of 199 mares covered by Golden Slipper winner Pierro in his first season at Coolmore last year.
