$500,000 for Lookin At Lucky Colt

A weanling colt from the first crop of Champion Two and Three Year Old Lookin At Lucky was the subject of keen competition at the 2012 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale on Wednesday. Consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Agency, the colt was purchased by Grant Pritchard-Gordon of Badgers Bloodstock for $500,000 making him the second highest priced weanling of the session. The good looking bay is from Grade I winning Sadler’s Wells mare Yesterday, who is a full sister to another Grade I winner in Quarter Moon. "I love the sire. Lookin At Lucky was a champion at two and a Classic winner and champion at three. He's the best horse Bob Baffert has trained, and he's by Smart Strike," Pritchard-Gordon said. "We bought a full sister to Yesterday for top price at Newmarket two years ago. This is an amazing female line. We just love this family."
