$625,000 Justify Colt Tops Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale Day 2
The highlight on the second day of trade at the 2021 Keenland November Breeding Stock Sale was a stunning chestnut weanling colt by Triple Crown hero Justify.
Consigned by Lane’s End, the half-brother to Group I winner Moonshine Memories sold for $625,000 to MV Magnier.
Named Just Before Dawn, the colt is also a half-brother to stakes-winner Indian Evening and stakes-placed Mo for the Money being from terrific producer Unenchantedevening, who has left eight winners from eight foals to race.
The pedigree also features Champion 2YO Favourite Trick and Group I winner Tiz the Law.
“He’s a really nice horse,” Magnier said.
“Jane Lyon and everyone at Summer Wind Farm are very good breeders. This horse is very well-bred, and we have had a lot of luck with the family before. We have 11 or 12 Justifys going to Ballydoyle next year.
“(The Justify offspring) look like they are a very special group of horses.
“Everybody seems to be very high on them. The pedigrees, the physiques and everything about them and the way Justify was such a good racehorse, we have a huge amount of faith in them.”
The first Australian bred yearlings by Justify will be offered at Australasian sales in 2022.
