American Pharoah’s Marketsegmentation Sells for $1.2 Million
American Pharoah’s Grade I winning daughter Marketsegmentation was a million dollar mare on Monday night when Shadai Farm went to $1.2 million to purchase the Gainesway-offered mare.
A five-time winner in nine starts with two other top three finishes, Marketsegmentation is one of three winners out of Medaglia d’Oro mare Lonelily. That mare’s winning Storm Cat dam is also the granddam of recent stakes winner Waldora.
This page also includes Group I winners Fasliyev, Misty For Me, Ballydoyle, U S Navy Flag, and others. Marketsegmentation is carrying her first foal by Into Mischief.
Stakes placed American Pharoah daughter Shoppingforpharoah sold to Pin Oak Stud for $850,000 from Mulholland Springs.
This mare’s page has received numerous updates this year thanks to her half-brother Seize The Grey. That colt won both the Grade I Preakness and Pennsylvania Derby in addition to the Grade II Pat Day Mile in 2024. Shoppingforpharoah is out of the stakes placed Smart Shopping, who is a half-sister to Grade I winner Power Broker and stakes winner Fierce Boots.
In all, there are 17 stakes performers named under Shoppingforpharoah’s first three dams.
Shoppingforpharoah is carrying her first foal from the second crop of American Pharoah’s three-time Grade I winning studmate Jack Christopher.
