Amor Vincit Omnia 21st Winner for Caravaggio

Amor Vincit Omnia (2c Caravaggio x Dress Rehearsal, by Galileo) broke his maiden at Haydock on Friday to become the 21st winner for his young sire.

Ridden by Richard Kingscote, he took the lead early the seven furlong race and never looked back. Kingscote asked him for more in the final quarter and he went from a length in front to 2 ¾ lengths at the end to win comfortably.

The colt owned by Russell Jones and Owen Promotions is trained by Tom Dascombe and was bred out of Dress Rehearsal by B V Sangster.

Amor Vincit Omnia is out of the Grade III winner Dress Rehearsal, who is also the dam of stakes winners Traisha and Baby Pink in addition to stakes-placed Christophermarlowe. Dress Rehearsal is a half-sister to the stakes winning dam of multiple graded stakes winner Muthmir and Group III winner My Titania with the latter the dam of Grade III winner My Oberon.

Caravaggio is the leading sire of 2-year-olds in North America in addition to dominating this year’s freshman sire rankings by winners and graded stakes performers. His first crop includes four stakes winners, led by the Group I winning Tenebrism.
